Wow, where have the last few weeks gone? It has been far to busy around here and I haven’t been able to keep up with my blogging! Ann and Philip were the first of my five couples who got married in 10 days, yes 5 weddings in 10 days – that’s why I’m so tired! Mental note to self *one wedding per week next year* – not that I would have missed any of these weddings, they were all beautiful and I enjoyed every single one
Anyway, two weeks ago Ann and Philip tied the knot in a beautiful loved filled ceremony at their Kingdom Hall and then celebrated the night away at their reception at Ann’s parents house. Phil may have left the rings at home but it sure did make for a very funny ceremony and created a memory that everyone will remember! The 200+ guests found it rather amusing to say the least that Phil looked to me during the ceremony and asked ‘Cathy do you have our rings?’ I could have melted into the floor with embarrassment! No, I did not have the rings, they were left on the kitchen bench of the bride’s house. Thanks Phil! lol
During the day we headed into the city to do some formal photos before the ceremony, I loved this idea as we were able to get all the photos out of the way so we could go straight from the ceremony to the reception. This was only my second wedding where the couple opted for a first look, but I certainly hope I have more brides and grooms who decide to do this, it makes for a very smooth transition between ceremony and reception and allows the Bride and Groom to join their party directly after their ceremony.
Here are a few of my favourite images from Ann and Phil’s day
