As some of you know I am going to be celebrating a rather ‘big’ birthday this August. Something that starts with a 4 and ends in an 0. Yes, I will be fabulously forty and fabulously proud. To celebrate such a momentous occasion my husband and I have decided to do a spot of globe trotting and we should be toasting away my flirty thirties on top of the Eifel Tower in Paris in style!
Given that I’ll be away for so long I thought I should let my wedding clients know that the studio will be closed for all of August and a teeny weeny bit of July as well. As such next Friday is the last day to finalise wedding album approvals and payments as I will be doing the last album order the following Monday. There will be no album orders placed between June 20 and September 5th as I can’t guarantee that my housesitter will be available to collect any parcels that arrive via courier in my absence. Albums ordered by the end of next week will be delivered before the studio closes in July, however all albums placed after the 20th June will not be ordered until after the 5th of September and will have an October delivery date or later.
Since no blog post is complete without a photo here is a recent shot of my Jenny out the front of a gorgeous historic home that I fell in love with while on a recent bike ride. I wish she would fit into my luggage, I’d look so cute riding her around Tuscany and the South of France! Don’t you think?

I was so excited last week when I heard that Jennifer and James’s Vintage Wedding was going to be featured on the world’s number one wedding blog Style Me Pretty. I have loved reading this blog for a number of years now and I adore everything that they publish so having one of my weddings featured on the blog was a great honour. As an added bonus the wedding also got another mention on the Wrap it Up Pretty weekly post
Thanks Ladies!!!
Style Me Pretty are at the forefront of wedding trends so it’s a wonderful place to get inspiration if you are planning your own wedding and would like some ideas. If you are like me and just love looking at gorgeous photos of beautiful things you can’t go past it.

Today we celebrate all the unselfish and loving mother’s all over the world. Mother’s do such wonderful jobs shaping the lives and minds of the next generation of adults. Mother’s are not selfish, they are thoughtful, loving, kind and generous with their time and their love. They sacrifice their own dreams and goals to give their children the very best opportunities in life. Without Mother’s the world would be a very different place!
With that said, I thought I’d share what my mother-in-law got this year for Mother’s Day. You see Glenys, my husband’s mother, lives a long way from us and as such she rarely gets to see her boys. Her boys being Steven and my son Benjamin. Steven is an only child so I can only imagine how that must feel for her. I know if one of my children were living on the other side of the country and I could only see them every couple of years it would break my heart. So what better gift to give Glenys than a beautiful little photo album filled with images of her boys, this way she can carry them wherever she goes.
Whatever you are doing today for Mother’s Day, make sure you give your Mother a call and tell her how much you love her. Life is short and we should take every opportunity to tell the ones we love how we feel about them. For me, motherhood is the best job title of all, the love and joy my children have brought me means more than any other career goal ever could. As for my own Mother, she is the rock upon which I built my life. Love you Mum!
Happy Mother’s Day!
